Equip them with the best resources and materials

As a parent, you can be in control of the resources and materials that your children are using to enhance their education and understanding of subjects.

For instance, you can request for their teachers to provide them with the right resources and materials in their lessons. Or, if you like to homeschool your child, perhaps due to some of the reasons why is there a teacher shortage, then it can be beneficial for you to use Learn Bright tools where you can gain access to free lesson plans.

4 Ways to Nurture Your Child’s Creativity

Every human is creative. It’s just that some people haven’t actively invested in their creativity. As the old metaphor goes, creativity is a well that you need to top up from time to time. You can do this as an adult, but it’s much easier if you learn the practice when you’re a child. That simply gives you more time to find the creative medium that suits you best — and then become a master of it. If you have a child, then it’s best not to force your child into creativity. Instead, you can gently nudge them in that direction. We’ll look at some top tips for doing just that in this post.

Go Exploring

The more information that’s received, the more likely it is that the brain will use that information and transform it into something creative. You could have creative thoughts if you were sitting in a basic, windowless room, but it’d be much more difficult — especially if you had an untrained brain. Let your child’s imagination run wild by going exploring in the great outdoors. Those spaces always offer something that urban areas can’t. Plus, a day of hiking in nature is just a great day out for the whole family. It’s a win-win activity.

2023 Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day Dress Like a Cow Day Free Food!

2023 update: Not only is it Cow Appreciation Day on July 11, 2023, but it's also 7-11's Free Slurpee Day!
This is a post I wrote in 2012 about doing our family's first Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day, and here are some photos, both vintage and from last year!

Tuesday, July 11, 2017 is the day/night to go THIS YEAR ...
This year I took 8 kids plus my husband and myself and we spent $8.47 on fries only :-)

Please check out the details here first ... they stop serving this free deal at 7 p.m. and you don't get an entire free meal anymore ...

Bottom line is YOU GOTTA DO THIS! When we do this with our entire family it amounts to $60 in free food for dinner alone. I thought that was awesome. However, my friend Liz can always do me one better! She says you can go for ALL THREE MEALS OF THE DAY!

Are you going? So easy to toss together an outfit that resembles a cow (just think black and white, brown and white, spots, ears, tail, nose -- they aren't too picky as long as you give it a shot). Now for the vintage 2012 photos I promised you!

July 11: Free Slurpees ALL DAY at 7-11

2023 Update: We forgot to go last year! This year we have to go! Sam has a basketball game that night plus it's Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day as well, so we're going to be busy! Maybe we'll see you at 7-11 or Chick-fil-A!

2020 Update: I'm wondering what Free Slurpee Day is going to look like with social distancing requirements in place all over the country. We moved in the fall of 2017, so I don't remember doing this in 2018, but last year we hit a couple of 7-11 stores in Grandview, Missouri and had a blast doing it.

ORIGINAL POST:
Today is July 11, 2012, and you can find my family at the local 7-11 convenience store filling cup after cup with FREE SLURPEES. We go before lunch then again before dinner! It's from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. So mark your calendar for July 11 = free Slurpees. Then July 12 = Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day!

How Can You Manage Payments in Your Home- Based Business?

Do you run a home-based business? Perhaps you have an online shop, or maybe you sell a mixture of online and in real life such as in-person social media sales, boot fares, and at trade shows. Either way, if you’re a small business owner operating from home, you still need to provide customers with a safe and secure way to pay just like much bigger businesses do. Here are some of the ways you can go about this.

Embrace the Digital Era

In today's digital age, accepting online payments isn’t just an added extra- it’s absolutely essential. It

allows you to reach a wider customer base, especially if you’ll be selling fully or partially online, and it

generally offers a hassle-free payment experience for your customers which can improve satisfaction.

There are lots of digital payment platforms like PayPal, Stripe, or Square which provide secure online

payment processing, making it easy for your customers to pay with their credit or debit cards.
