The course and certification program stands approved and seen over by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
A house cleaning technician specializes in more than just a mop, broom, vacuum, and a bottle of bleach. They are trained in the proper science of cleaning (yes, cleaning is a science). This includes learning not only about the in and out of cleaning, but about how to conduct proper sanitization, cleaning safety protocols, cleaning chemistry, and more.

The ARCSI
They are the Association of Residential Cleaning Professionals and are a part of the IICRC. ARCSI hosts the HCT certification course.
The AHLEI
Standing for The American Hotel and Lodging Executive Institute (AHLEI), they offer certificates for those entering into the hotel housekeeping business. Their courses offer you a chance to earn your CGA or Certified Guestroom Attendant certificate. You can also strive for your CHHE or Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive bill of credential.
The IEHA
Another house cleaning school is the International Executive Housekeepers Associations. It honors a few different housekeeping certificates, like the REH or Registered Executive Housekeeper certificate and the CEH Certified Executive Housekeeper program.
