Beat The Lockdown Boredom

Lockdown might be coming your way quicker than you realize. We’re all facing uncertain times where you just can’t be too sure what’s going to happen. Day by day there are new things being said in the media that we have to think about. Deaths going up, cases going up, and the restrictions seem to be coming in thick and fast. Every single country is dealing with it in its own way, and it seems as though it’s not getting any easier. What countries need to do is take a leaf out of China’s book. Wuhan was the center for the outbreak, and within a few days, the city was completely isolated. Thanks to that it has now had its first day without any new recordings of cases. Now, the rest of the world needs to take a leaf out of their book. Some countries, such as the UK, don’t seem to be taking the spread as seriously as others. Thankfully the US has shut its doors and hopefully, the spread will peak fairly soon. Until then you might be facing a bit of a lock-down. Either you’ll be self-isolating, told you can’t go to work for a while, or someone in your family might be ill. If so, we’re going to show you how to conquer the lock-down boredom.

Take A Leaf Out Of Italy’s Book

There are many countries who have been placed under completely lockdown. Spain and Italy are two of the countries that are suffering at the minute. Their country has been completely locked down, and the hospitals in the north of Italy are struggling to cope with the influx of patients. It doesn’t help that a large majority of their population is elderly, that’s why their figures look so bad. Lock down to them means literally being locked down. There are only specialist workers who are going to work, the rest are stuck in their home, only being allowed out for a short walk or for a trip to the shops. It might seem like crazy measures, but Spain is doing the same because the spread of the disease is just happening so fast. But what we’re seeing on social media is communities coming together, and there have been some beautiful videos circulating the internet of the Italian public singing from their balconies and trying to keep spirits high. It’s important to try and stick together in times like this. Help people in your community who you know are more vulnerable and try and brighten up your community as much as possible. Some parts of the world have resorted to putting up Christmas lights to try and lift the mood a little bit.

Make Your Own Fun

This is such an important one. You need to make sure that you’re finding new ways to be able to have fun. Life as we know it is completely changing, and you need to be able to adapt to that and to have some fun whilst you’re at home. If you live on your own and you’re being put into self-isolation, you definitely need to make sure that you are finding new ways to entertain yourself. Some of you will be happy with watching Netflix all day long. There are so many documentaries and TV series that will pass many of the days away. But with two weeks being the time that people have to self-isolate for, if needed to. Two weeks is a long time if the job you have can’t be done at home. So. we’d recommend trying your hand at something new, such as baking, art, or crafts. Something to put your energy into that isn’t sitting in front of the TV. Although that might sound like a dream, after a few days of doing it it can really do all sorts to your mind and your body. You’ll start to feel that pit of despair that sitting on the sofa can’t solve. So, try your hand at learning something new and see how much quicker that makes your day go. If you are self-isolating with a family member by your side you can get them into it too. When you have children with you it becomes all the more important to make sure that you’re beating that lock down boredom. Children with nothing to do is an absolute nightmare, and now that most of the schools are closed it becomes so important to keep it fun. You also need to keep it educational. There are a ton of educational games online that you and the kids could play to pass some time. You could also pass your time using the old faithful phone and all of the fun that can bring. A lot of people are passing the time by using a free bet game to try and win some money at the same time. Obviously, you need to make sure that you’re rationing yourself with how much you’re spending on this. You don’t want to spend your time wasting all of your money when your income might have to drop over the next few weeks anyway.

Try And Make Some Money

If you are working for a company that will not allow you to work from home and you know your income is going to be cut within the next few weeks, you need to come up with some cunning ways that you can make money in those coming weeks. It would seem that the rest of the world is trying to do the same thing as families scramble to make the money that they need to support their children. One of the easy ways we think you can do so is through blogging. You might already have one set up at the minute, you just need to take it to the next level so that you can actually make some money from it. To do so you often need a good domain authority. It’s what most companies look for when choosing to pair with you. You also need a good following and a higher reaction to your posts, which is only going to happen if you share your posts to social media and make sure that you’re responding to other people’s posts. That’s the best way to be able to build a following is to build a rapport with other bloggers. If you don’t have a blog at the minute they’re pretty easy to set up. All you need is a domain name, hosting, and killer blog post ideas to start posting. Before you know it you will have small collaborations with brands that will make you some money. Keep Your Fitness Up

During times like this, which are truly unique times that we might not ever face again in our lifetimes, you need to think about keeping your fitness up. You might want to do nothing but make the most of sitting on the sofa or climbing into bed all day. But what you’ll be doing is making yourself more suseptible to contracting something. As your body slows down so does your immune system. Now, it might not bother you to catch it, but it’s the people you could pass it to that you need to consider. So if you are being isolated, make sure that you take the opportunity to boost your health and to get your fitness up. There are so many different fitness DVD’s and the shops are filled with all of the healthy foods you could need. Pasta and loo roll might be at a shortage, but the healthy foods that our bodies need to function well aren’t!
