My Humane Son

The boys tied a rope to the ceiling fan in the dining room, then tied one of their Littlest Pet Shop mice to the end of the rope. Then they turned the fan on HIGH and watched the mouse spin.

Joel came up to me later and said, “Mommy, I let the mouse down so he could puke.”

I told him that was very humane of him.

  1. That's funny that the Joel and Michael did that; I can so see them doing it too! I was just thinking the other day how Derek and Colin [at the time ages of 8 and 4] used to get such a kick out of throwing their underwear [of all things] on the ceiling fan in my bedroom while it was on and then they'd lay on the bed under the fan and watch their underwear spin around in hopes that it would fly off somewhere in the room. That would entertain them for hours, they just thought that was so funny to watch. Of course they tried throwing other things up their too, like their toys, but underwear worked the best and didn't hurt when it came back down. Thank God we didn't have a cat they probably would have thrown it up their too.

  2. Oh my goodness it is scary and funny all at the same time. Poor mouse! Thank goodness is was nothing heavy enough to bring down the lamp. Takes me back to my two boys and the things they could think up.
