Cinnamon Roll Peach Cobber

I recently made this for my dad and stepmom when they came over because I had a ton of peaches and my stepmom posted the recipe. I don't think she really thought I was going to make it but I sure did. It was hard not to sit and eat the entire thing myself! Check it out! Recipe is here! (eek! It has come to my attention that I am sending you to a different recipe, but just go with it, okay? ... I can't find the one I made anywhere ... online or on paper ... so I'll have to keep checking! Thanks for putting up with my scattered nature!)

Oops, no picture of the finished product. I'm a little half-assed. Great at starting things but not so great at finishing them. Just ask Mr. Kerrie about how I make chocolate chip cookies. I make the dough, eat some dough, bake some cookies then walk away. Thank God we are married or he would probably break up with my ADHD butt!

EXPIRED #Giveaway Hop $75 of Younique and Jamberry Items! #2Cool4School Aug. 18-24, 2014

Look, just because I homeschool doesn't mean back to school time does not affect me. Back to school around here (I live across from a school) is mid-August ... can you believe that? INSANITY! We homeschool light in the summer ... very light ... but don't really hit it until AFTER Labor Day! I do have homeschool planning to do right now and we sometimes do back-to-school supplies shopping.

UPDATE: We are venturing into virtual school and very excited to be using Calvert curriculum with Leavenworth Virtual School!

So to take a break before all the crazy begins at my own house, I got involved in a giveaway hop. It's no secret that I love to give things away! It just makes me happy!  Plus I figure a mom dealing with back-to-school time would love to win a giveaway with a prize like this! So welcome to the Too Cool for School Giveaway Hop, hosted by BloggerPR, where I am giving away THREE sheets of exclusive Jamberry nail wraps that are usually only available if you host a party PLUS a Younique lip gloss!

I am giving away the June, August and September Hostess Exclusive wraps with a value of $60 total (they show on my Jamberry workstation as being worth $20 each sheet instead of the usual $15) PLUS a Younique lip gloss in the clear color Loyal.

This is a prize package valued at $75!

Good luck! And if you'd like to come see me at either of my sites, you can come to Jamberry here and Younique here and I am always happy to send samples to you of jams or eye pigments! Just email me at mommykerrie at yahoo dot com.

ALSO ... I am doing a fundraiser for our local battered women's shelter here in Kansas City. It's called SafeHome and 20% of your Younique purchase will go to SafeHome plus I will purchase items from their shelter wish list! Here is the link for ordering! Think big! Your order of $100+ gets free shipping and if you order any collection, you get an exclusive lash/brow comb/brush that you won't be able to buy until September and it will be $20!!!

You will receive the color Loyal, which is basically clear with a little glitter and it is not sticky and doesn't taste like anything. I wear it every day or else I can be found in the Barbie pink color Loveable.

Belton Missouri Swimming Pool ... Thanks, Tutu!

My mom (Tutu) gave us a late Easter gift in the form of cash to go somewhere the kids really wanted to go: Belton Pool. Mr. Kerrie took a half day off and we headed to Belton for some fun. Here are pictures!

Pretty sure he's thinking about me

When Kids Do Mommy's Makeup

NEW NEIGHBORS!!!!!!

I am so excited as I type this. And I am aware that I gave the new neighbors a card with my phone number and blog address on it so they might see this. BUT I AM SO EXCITED!

Sunday we came home from church to see a Suburban in the driveway of the house next door. We have lived here for 14 years. An elderly couple lived next door. Then a single woman. Then a single man. This is a big house, people! So for years I have been praying for a family to move in.

YES YES YES!

God said, "Kerrie, you have been a decent person these last few years so I am going to give you something super cool that you have been begging me for." (is it bad to pretend like God said something? sorry; He knows me intentions are good)

ANYWAY, I saw a bunch of kids. Got my hopes up.

Monday they were back. I didn't want to bug them. Tuesday some of the kids came to the door to say hi. I grilled them. I found out they are (1) Catholic like us and (2) HOMESCHOOL. WHAT ARE THE ODDS? Then I met the parents and they are super sweet. Like, as in, they will be a good influence in my life and we can help each other out and we and the kids will have fun.

I am super hopeful and excited about this. Last night we went over and roasted marshmallows in their fire pit. They have 6 kids so they totally understand Big Family Life. I can't write too much because I don't want to ook them out, but I have told them I am a bit overwhelming and that I love kids and am so happy they are here.

It's just so exciting when a dream comes true! It's like when I married Mr. Kerrie and we had all the little Kerries ... DREAM COME TRUE! Pinch me!

No, these are not all our kids, but this is ELEVEN kids and represents what it might look like if my family and the family next door posed for a picture in a line like this!

Date Night with Mr. Kerrie

The movie CHEF is HIGHLY recommended by Mr. Kerrie and I. The kids totally pushed us out the door so they could have time with Jordan. Jordan let us borrow her Mustang GT 5.0 STICK SHIFT car. I do miss a stick shift car, friends.

Mr. Kerrie may or may not have gone 90 mph down our street in second gear on the way home. I am not saying. We may have gone to the Plaza and Downtown. I thought it might be fun to have a fast car someday but on second thought I would like to keep my husband alive as long as possible and a fast car = trouble in our house.

Don't make fun of my pose. This is the pose I do because I learned it from my sitter so it's just funny when a 43-year-old does it and that's the point ... to be funny!

The night was a success and if we had sitter money we would probably go on a date every single week. I can see that happening in our future!!! I do love Mr. Kerrie and have a pretty good time with the dude even 19 years later. How can you not love someone who takes you how you are most of the time and doesn't gripe about it too much?!

My 4th Baby Lost Her 1st Tooth!

Little Eva lost her first tooth today while her Poppy and Nana were over visiting! She is 6 1/2 and Poppy took this picture of her gap! Also, Joel lost another molar the other day. He is 13 and still losing teeth! Sometimes this is the best way to communicate with my mom and Aron's parents, so I know they will enjoy this photo! Later we went to the pool for an hour and a half until lightning was spotted and we had to leave. I will be staying up late watching for The Tooth Fairy!

*2014* Fall Jamberry's Retiring Wraps List: Going, Going, Gone!

So here is the long awaited Going, Going, Gone! list from Jamberry. Below I am posting two sheets but there are more ... including some lacquers ... and I am really surprised about some that are going away. I treat these like little works of art and so I have a special album where I hoard some of the ones that are going to be discontinued. I also hoard anything black and white so you bet your butt I have the black and white horizontal striped wrap you see below on the first sheet.

No need to be sad ... you can still order these through my site on a while-supplies-last basis or until the end of August. You know what they do with any retired wraps that are still in the warehouse on September 1, 2014? They package them in the new rep kits! So have fun!

#Jamberry August 2014 Sister's Style Exclusive Wrap: Alphabet City

Okay, I am in love with this month's Jamberry Sister's Style exclusive wrap called Alphabet City. Yes, I am a writer and love to read as well. I loved the newspaper print on mint green wrap (now retired but I have squirreled away a couple of halves for later or just to frame) and the newspaper print on neutral. Our clear wrap with black letters called Alphabet is RETIRING THIS MONTH (so grab it!)!

Anyway, here she is in all her gorgeousness. Order ASAP here!

P.S. All the new wraps come out September 1 so for now here is the Going, Going, Gone! list Jamberry puts out so you can snatch up any that you love and don't want to lose forever! Here are a couple of charts but they are not complete, as some lacquers are also going bye bye! Can't wait to see what they come up with for fall! (I apologize for the graphics ... get out your magnifying glass or just go to the site to peruse everything!)
