Are Your Guest Rooms Missing Essential Features?

Everyone wants a different hotel experience on their next trip. While searching for guest rooms online, you may find " luxurious and comfortable" rooms. The labels can be deceiving, and you may end up being disappointed once you check in. A good hotel room should have the basic amenities to keep visitors comfortable.

Comfortable Bed

You can't have creaky beds in guest rooms and expect visitors to enjoy sleep. The squeaking will not be comfortable when one is turning. Invest in good and firm mattresses, soft toppers, pillows, and pillowcases.

Phone Charging Ports

Almost everyone has a phone or other chargeable device. Install beside extension and save the guest the hassle of moving furniture to access the charging port.

Basic Toiletries

Your guest may bring personal toiletries, but you shouldn't always assume they have them. Keep toothpaste, soap, lotion, towel, tissue, and shampoo or conditioner in the room. Place them on a small decorated tray and include a welcome note.

Water Bottles and Glasses

Nobody enjoys thirst! It's important to provide several water bottles near the guest beds, for taking medicine or hydrating after the party. Also, place snacks such as chocolate bars or mixed nuts.

Waste Basket

Guests at Ms. Maggie’s South Country Inn might have a lot of things to throw away, and having a designated place for that purpose helps. Yes, they can throw away trash in the kitchen or bathroom, but it's best to save them the trouble of leaving the room.

Full-Length Mirror

Guests need a dresser mirror when applying makeup or accessories. So, install a full-length mirror on an empty wall or behind a closet door. If you have ample space, you can use standing mirrors.

Furnishing guest rooms may appear simple, but the staff should be very keen when placing essential items. A poorly-equipped room is unfriendly, and the guest may not recommend the facility to their friends or families.
