So I told you yesterday how I got all this cooking done in the morning/early afternoon. Then a friend came over with her 5 kids (I know a lot of Breeders) and we scraped wallpaper. She brought over a steamer, and I have to say she didn't have a lot more luck than I had with hot water in a spray bottle and my scorer. Someone wanted to see progress on my 10-year wallpaper stripping kitchen project (ElfMom?), so for your viewing pleasure here is a picture of the north wall of my kitchen. Note how I got a wild hair and for some crazy reason started scraping off paint from the OVEN. It was cream, now it's cream and brown. I want to get appliance paint and do it turquoise, but hubs is being a buzzkill on that decorating venture. (by the way, the title of this post is just. not. possible.)
What's this blog about? My fun life as a homeschooling mommybot teaching 5 kids while growing a writing career. I share funnies, real information and random crap (book reviews, crunchy stuff, recipes). Growing up as an only child, my parents always told me, "It's not the Kerrie Show." Well, Mom and Dad, it is NOW! By the way, I'm a hot Catholic hippie mess.

Don't tell me that! I'll be removing my kitchen wall paper soon (I hope) I did it in my old house and it was a nightmare because they wallpapered directly to the sheet rock! Hope that's not the case in this house.
Turquoise would be a very nice touch!! Seriously. You would have to pick just the right colour for the walls, though.
Good luck and DO keep posting pics! :)
Kerrie:
Try a little liquid fabric softener in with your hot water. Score the wallpaper and spray with water/fabric softener mix. Helps loosen wallpaper. (also makes your house smell good)
