Facebook Friend Deletion Catharsis

A friend of mine recently deleted a ton of her Facebook friends and feels oh so good about it.  She doesn't have to read about people having affairs, getting drunk, leaving their spouses and kids behind, exhibiting bad behavior, not to mention all the worthless or cryptic posts like "I'm bored" or "Now I know who my real friends are" (could they be talking about MOI?)  ... waaaah.

With my limited access, going through 900+ FB "friends" is going to take some time, but I'm on the bandwagon fo sho.

Now I can read status updates from people I really care about and who really care about me, not fake people I'm just FB friends with and would never be in real life.

It's nothing personal, people.  Just the business of keeping my sanity and hopefully fostering some relationships in the process, somehow, some way.

Posting will be limited here ... I have some whammies coming up, but just need time to pre-post them!  Best bet is to sign up for an email subscription so you don't miss a juicy, gripey post!

  4. 900+ friends! Wow. I thought I was doing good at 200+. I've not deleted many friends, but I have gotten in the habit of hiding people that post things I don't really care about. That helps too and I don't have to spend a lot of time doing it. I just hide them when they pop up and I think, "Yeah, I don't really care what you have to say."
